This couture mannequin Christmas tree is hand made with metallic paint, glass beads, ribbon, lace, Swarovski and other crystals.

The dress and cape are hand made with tulle, crystals, satin, wire forms (to hold the tree form shape) and are decorated with crystals, silk or other flowers and stems, Christmas tree branches, and ribbon.

The mannequin bust is first painted with metallic paint. The lace and decorative pieces are adhered directly on the mannequin (thus the bustier is not wearable), the skirt and the cape are removable and the mannequin can be displayed without it during the year ...

This fantastical and unique mannequin bust is made with mosaic glass, fabric, ribbon, hand made glass beads, paint, jewels with vintage jewelry, faux foliage, and found objects.

It features a 14 gold plated band decorated bird with birds nest. Part of the bird’s decor is a vintage watch face ... thus the name “Time Flies”

Giovanni - $2,500

This unique mannequin begins with a rare Adele Rootstein form.  It incorporates clay, paint, metal forms, glass strung beads, fabric flowers, mosaic forms, vintage jewelry, hand-made rubber molds, crystals, and a hand-made satin and tulle skirt.

Bride - $950

The Bride is handcrafted with glass mosaic, glass beads, crystals, lace, iridescent paint, vintage jewelry, and floral elements. The skirt consists of layers of tulle, satin, floral elements, and handcrafted panels with crystals, glitter, and beads.

Blue Dress Form Mannequin - $750

I started with a white velvet dress form mannequin ...

When Christmas is over, the branches can come off, leaving the dress form as a decorative couture dress. 

To answer questions that are usually asked:

1 ... The dress is not wearable because the entire lower half of the bodice is mosaic shards of glass (front and back) pieced together.

2 ...  I did not buy the glass- I made it myself with Alcohol ink, sterling silver and copper leaf on safety glass. (Photos of the glass also included for inquiring minds!)

3 ... The underskirt is satin with decorated tulle on top and a tulle petticoat underneath (to give it form).

4 ...  I also posted a photo of the work in progress (what it would look like without the tree).

5 ... Cost of materials: $180 (not including the glass)

6 ...  Time it took to make: about 75 hours (not including making the glass)
